HEY PEOPLES!

Hey guys whats been going down? My CD release went off without a hitch and it was hella fun, moved a decent amount of CDs this weekend too. SO yeah still got tons of shirts and CD s on sale and i am planning a new show June 6th, gonna call it Fresh Prints. Planning on getting a bunch of local Tee makers to come out a swog their products. i figure its a cool way to mesh hip-hop and the art side of hip hop. ALSO got 2 shows coming up both at the black door, May 16th and 23rd. Both should be excellent shows and will include me, The Filthy Varmint, and other local acts who almost as dope ;) . looking to get the digital downloadable CD up soon as well, which should be done within the nest couple weeks. Still have a ton of CDs and Tees for sale as well, soon i will have some shots of the show too! if anyone has any too get at me! anyways peoples, working on a new album as we speak and will have some NEW tracks up! yeah so thats all for now...

Been a Little While!

Where we going, East bound ho!

well my girl told me today about this thing, you pay 400 dollars and then you have a savings of 2500, and they will fly you to japan to teach English. I'm thinking i may go for it, but isn't there a cheaper way of doing it? anyone out there know? ANYWAYS. yeah i think it would be dope to be out in japan, doing my music and shit. everyone else i know who's a real artist left this Vancouver waterfront to pursue real art goals, should i do the same? we either way i got fam out there and it would be dope to see em again, maybe even do a few shows out there too, make some skrilla. it would be dope to go out there and meet some of the sickest artists in the entire world! but i think i would miss alot of my friends, and my wonderful family... decisions decisions... well either way the CD is on its way as you see on the side there i "cleaned up" the top banner, I'm gonna use it for the inside of my cover. i will have all the CD images up soon. check back for update cuz i got 6 songs in the works right now. alright peeps....

Long Weekend Happenings

LONG WEEKEND!

How yall like the new banner on the blog?
Saturday i got my cordless microphones, they are awesome! at first when i opened the wrapped box i was a bit scared, this was of coarse because the box looked as if were a dollar store brand :S. but then i remembered sound equipment people make sound equipment and not graphic design. anyways, these mic are illen! I'm gonna test em out at the party i am doing on the 5th with my man Ben (Neato the Filthy Varmint) and his friend Edge One. Also i got hooked up with some IT'S ALIVE! gear this weekend! hopefully we will also be able to get my shirt design done for the show. gonna be in the studio on the 5th to lace the rest of the tracks, working with a new guy for the first time too. gonna have quite a few heaters on this bitch! went to the Shad Show this weekend as well, saw POS preform over live drums it was pretty hype! so anyways i will have some pics up soon of me rocking the IT'S ALIVE! gear too.

Ehyo peoples!!!

thinking about some stuffs today for some reason, love to be exact. I've heard of some thing I've never heard of before. myself, I'm happily in love with my girl, but i was speaking with some people and they told me about the "never stoped loving occurrence". i know that doesn't sound very descriptive, so let me explain. the "never stoped loving occurrence" is when a guy/girl holds a torch for someone they were with, someone they never really had a negative break-up with. possible it wasn't the right time or something like such, this would be the reason for a lot of yo-yo couples i guess. either way i never really understood it until a friend (which will remain nameless) continued his yo yo dating with one girl, and i had to ask why. from my understanding its like this person(the girl) is like the ultimate ungotten goal, like a mountain you always saw tried once but never got to the top and you always wanted to climb and finish it. i guess i can understand it, either way we go through life trying to find the perfect one to understand us, sometimes you find them sometimes you don't. i can only pray to god and ask that i picked the right one, feels like it anyway.

lets speak on some lighter topics, some illen shoes dropping this time of year. check em out at http://www.hypebeast.com/, it totally the best for sneakers and styles. check it out! Creative Recreations got some new Ponti shoes out, check for the Ostritch ones, HOT FIYA! K-Swiss also seem to be coming out with some wicked ass designs for once too, check out hypebeast for some pick of them. Nike is also dropping alot of fresh kicks about now too, the new SB spring line is hype, also pushing the Dunks HARD! Next on my mind they got the Pigeon New Balances coming out soon, some color scheme that started riots when Nike release it on a Dunk. me, I'm still in love with the Reebok's Ventilator, but they got some fresh joint dropping soon too the high top old skool steeze for the girls, they also got the Kool-Aids in pink, green, purple, and also in red. Puma is launching the MTV Yo RAPS! kicks too, i think its about time that Puma came out with something worth getting. on the style front I'm looking for a ill looking black marching band uniform jacket to rock at the show, think I'm gonna look at the military store. Also hot this season for the men's out there is the old fashioned plaid, but with a twist, doing the spring thing with aquas turquoises and blues, I'm getting me one of thems in like two days! definatly last but not least, i need to get me them joints Kanye was rocking at the Grammys, the unnamed Nike, when ever it comes out it's mine! anyways peoples expect more posts about actual stuff commin up and maybe some pics too :D....

Ah the weekend~

Well the weekend went by and i succeeded in my non drinking venture! also i got my illen Reebok Ventilators Sunday and wore em to Lenny Dikos Video shoot! got some cordless mics coming in the mail and I'm hoping to break em out on the 5th at my homie Ben's house show, that should be fucking SICK! dem shirts is on the go right now, about 80% done, gonna have some limited Edition GLOW in the dark shits too! NICE! got a meeting for the Video shoot tomorrow with my homie Mitch, we will be discussing the video and which song we are gonna use. have a feeling its gonna be the unreleased "WE SHINE" produced by Bluntologist and rhymes by yours truly. looking for peeps to rock on in it, and ACTUALLY BE THERE. i know ALOT of peoples talk good game and never show up for shit so imma make sure if they say yes, they be there. ANYWAYS stoked on the future right now, just looking forward to finishing training and getting my life back from this horrible night work nightmare. anyways peoples the video shoot was chilling, just stood around and looked cool, i hope they got some nice shots of me. as soon as the vids up i will post a link up here, until then

Gettin up?

whats up peoples? wonder if anyone even reads this?

ANYWAYS... wondering how i should go about getting up around this city. Dudes like Snak and POS are getting up pretty good and i think I'm on that same level (different style but same level). i seen Snak got Moka Only and shit in his video, yea Moka is a bit of a pre-madonna douche, but some people think hes somebody. being from New West makes it hard i guess, i don't have very many artists friends to help, or even really come out to the shows... don't get me wrong, i got friends who roll to EVERY show. those is the ones imma take on tour and shit, keep the real around you. well on that note ANOTHER one of my homies left this city to start an artistic endeavour. Kyle A.K.A. SeweR, rolled out, another one of the reals gone... sucks, he was my hype man and shit too. Dam, seems like i should bounce out this bitch too.... well either way if i do a tour across this country i got homies in Edmonton. well i guess that's all for now. gonna get back to this job.

I Quit!?!?!

okay, this weekend was a gong show on my part... got drunk lost my wallet and all that great noise. due to these happenings I'm thinking i gonna quit drinking, its a waste of time and money anyway. eh whatevs, nothing much missed. I'm just gonna burn it out on the album, i got the cover/back done and i am gonna kill off a few more pics for the inside of the album. this album is gonna kill it, i have a feeling. its gotta be this. but enough of album talk.

thinking about getting some grillz, :P i know its hella materialistic but i think they are hype. get some soon and rock out a video, gonna get some peoples for the video together here in the next few weeks. so if anyone reading this is down hit me a line. dana-dane-music@hotmail.com also got a shirt in the works with IT'S ALIVE! crew too. gonna blow that shit up like next week and have the shirt next month. 40 bucks for one, i will have a design up later this week for some pre-order shit. workin.....

Dude this night shift shit is killing me, i don't know how many times I've said that in the past 2 weeks.... at least only 4 more left. it seems like all my homies are blowing away, Sewers off to Edmotown, Biz is now in the high. its like all the peoples i find who are really down gotta be out. guess that's just part of it. on a nice note, got a CD release set up and the art on the CD is almost 100% finishing the back of the CD now and it will be fly. seems like alot of my peoples will be rolling out to see the show as well. now its the last haul to the finish line and it looks like we is ahead.
whats next? i donno, a new CD a clothing company, maybe taking on some responsibilities as a promoter? either way i got options, i AM an artist, as an artist i have to be flexible. last little while i felt washed out and used, but recently i been getting that vibe back. that feeling of happiness seemed to be lost on me, my girl throwing love at me just bounced off and hit the wall, but recently I've been feeling happy, like i can do this. reciprocating that love has now become so easy, and creating has become like a bike, just takes a little while to get back in the swing. soon i will be dropping a shirt design either of my own company, or with IT'S ALIVE! depends how long its gonna take to make em, i need em at the show. get my name out and squash all that negative noise with some positive hype.
well for those who are actually hyped on my shit dropping WORD!

Been a little while.

Eh, it’s been a little while I should have left you, without a hot blog to read to. Eh party peoples what’s the dilly? New albums on the front burner and ready to boil, cover art is nearly done, almost all tracks are killed too!

Its strange some days I think I can’t do this, can't make hype songs, but you know what I have and I will do more. Seeing how people hype themselves to what I do makes me know it, it’s like I don’t need the support of all the people I thought I needed before now its all on me. I got this thing inside me that keeps telling me I'm not normal.... I donno is it just self-indulgent garbage or am I really meant to do something larger than this? Guess that’s a question we all ask ourselves at one time, when we stop saying, “I’ll never have that", and start saying "that’s gots ta be mine". Most of us unconsciously make this transformation and don’t notice it until it’s been completed, how we change from the underachieving unsure child, to the self reliant and self-supporting adult. In any case if we dream in we can achieve it. I’m doing this CD release next month, I got a bit to hype this shit and hype da musak, I think I can do it, no better yet I WILL do it.

So I guess to all me peoples out there floundering in the ocean of life, its sink or swim, and me and my peoples plan to fly.

life relationships and art.

how is a relationship started, when do we know its really over... is there an answer... this is not speaking only of girlfriends but of friends. now don't get me wrong my girl and i are FANTASTIC, I'm speaking of my friendships and past relationships. i think I'm finally starting to understand a lot about it, or maybe i am just meant to be misunderstood, as i am an artist. Vincent, Leonardo, Salvador, fuck even Tu-pac were loners, how does one expect to or even dream to do better than such great minds. then again to me this is not only a daunting task but a goal to be reached, is it possible when you feel as if the most of the world has left you due to your past regrettable mistakes? i don't know... but what i do know is that in the past 7 months i have changed extensively. from the style i dress in to the fashion i go about planning and completing tasks, my mental state has changed. family is now more important than ever to me, I've realized these are the only people in your life who will never leave you, the people who catch you whenever or where ever you happen to fall. but as my dad always says (not the exact words anyway), we can only be judged by our past choices and actions, or how about something more fitting tho his words, once a drug addict always a drug addict. so i can't guide lost friendships or mend hurt feelings, but i can apologize, for my shortcomings, my actions, my non-actions, my absence, and my straight forwardness. in this i ask for no forgiveness, i only try to give solace in the knowledge in the fact i know, for the lack of a better description, what's up. now its up to me to move forward with my art, and give no second thought to the haters, envious losers, and has-been broke ass producers. i am who i am i don't apologize for that, only for the actions I'm not so proud of.
